These councils are made up of freshmen students living in the dorms. Each dorm has a council that consists of honors students who live there. Councils are led by a pair of Co-Presidents. Dorm based councils plan programming for their residential hall.
Residential hall programming
These councils will plan 3 large events in their residence hall over the semester: one academic, one philanthropic, and one social. Large events take council planning such as reserving space, finding a speaker, ordering food, and marketing the event. Some examples of large events include a talent show, a food drive, a talk from a professor, a political debate, or a holiday party.

Residential councils also plan small events within the council for bonding. Small events are more laidback and take less planning. Small events could include a dinner out, seeing a movie at the Union, or even going to another council's event.
