Every council has two Co-Presidents who work to lead the council throughout the year. These students from each council comprise the Leadership Board (LB). Every other week, LB meets with the Executive Board to debrief organization-wide initiatives, participate skills-based training, and share their council's accomplishments. Serving on LB is a pre-requisite for joining the HHCA Executive Board.
Co-Presidents lead their council and facilitate weekly council meetings, direct discussion and brainstorming, delegate tasks, and see events through. We emphasize facilitative leadership, and Co-Presidents help translate this to their council by fostering a creative and collaborative environment.
Co-Presidents work side by side to keep their council running smoothly and build a strong community both within their council and in their residential community.
In addition to meeting the requirements for HHCA Officers, Co-Presidents must be able to meet every other Friday from 3:30 - 5:30PM. Additionally, Co-Presidents should expect to commit 3-4 hours to HHCA each week.
